Individual/Family/Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Sessions
Sick of what OCD is doing to you? Reclaim your life! I combine the use of Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) with the cutting edge Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). Numerous studies show that the skills people learn from ERP can be enhanced by learning ACT interventions. Please complete a contact form so that we can determine how to best meet your needs.
Graduate students needing to fulfill a Group Observation assignment are not permitted to attend any of these groups.
Boss it Back® Workshops are offered regularly.
These workshops are fairly intensive but effective. Give me 3 hours of your time and I'll make sure you leave the workshop with techniques you can readily apply. For 3 hours I will bombard your brain with the next right thing to do. You will have no question what the next right thing to do is--and better yet, how to do it!
Boss it Back® Online Help, Private Facebook Group and Twitter
Not everyone can attend a group or workshop. Perhaps you live too far away or can't fit it in to your schedule. In some cases your OCD will keep you from being able to attend. I'm offering online help. If this is of interest to you, fill out a contact form. Follow me on Twitter @tjlabrake for daily inspiration and tips.
Be sure to give me your email address so that at the very minimum I can send you powerful tips!
Ask Me to Speak at Your Event
Select me as a speaker at your event and I will give 110%. I'm able to provide excellent content with humor. I have been speaking publicly for more than 20 years. I speak for hospitals, colleges, conferences and private events. I speak on topics about anxiety, OCD, healthy habits and procrastination.
Boss it Back®Free Your Mind. Free Your Life. Defy OCD.
If you're like most people with OCD you know you have a choice to make. You've discovered that your current way of coping is time-consuming and exhausting. But you don't know any other way. Having to perform rituals and conduct mental acts is like being in prison. And those around you are probably hurting too.
Maybe you function just enough to "get by" but underneath it all, there is suffering. You want to stop feeding OCD. You know the answer is to face a fear rather than avoid it or try to control it. But that seems easier said than done.
That's where I come in. Finding enough elbow room to make tiny changes in your life will build confidence and result in a different, better outcome. I want to help you get unstuck and learn how to boss OCD back. I have a small private practice dedicated to helping people of all ages with OCD. Clients at my practice benefit from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which is widely-recognized as the most effective way to boss back OCD.
The problem is that I can't get everyone who needs help into my office. There just isn't enough time in a day! This frustrates me because it really does require a specialist to help someone with OCD. So in order to have a greater impact I am expanding my reach through this website and social media to offer strategies to help people who are coping with OCD. This website is always evolving so make sure you are included in all that is happening, by subscribing to receive weekly emails. Take this action today and subscribe!
